What Room on the Broom is about

A kind witch and her cat are flying along on their broomstick when the witch loses her hat, then her bow, then her wand. Each time, a helpful animal finds the missing item and asks for nothing more than a ride in return, so a dog, a bird and a frog all climb aboard. The broom, as the title hints, may not have room for everyone.

When a hungry dragon threatens the witch, her new friends have to work together and think quickly. Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, the pair behind The Gruffalo, tell the story in bouncing rhyme that begs to be read aloud. It is a warm picture book about friendship, kindness and teamwork, well suited to young children at bedtime or story time.
