What Verity is about
Lowen Ashleigh is a struggling writer close to financial ruin when she gets an unexpected offer. Jeremy Crawford, husband of bestselling author Verity Crawford, has hired Lowen Ashleigh to finish the remaining books in a successful series that his injured wife is unable to finish.
Lowen goes to the Crawford home to go through Verity's notes and outlines. In the cluttered office she finds an unfinished autobiography that Verity never meant anyone to read. It contains chilling admissions, including Verity's account of the night her family was forever changed. Lowen chooses to keep the manuscript from Jeremy, a grieving father, even as her feelings for him grow and she begins to see how his reading it might serve her. A dark, suspenseful novel about secrets, grief and temptation, it suits readers who like their tension slow-building and unsettling.
