What Five Feet Apart is about
Stella Grant has spent most of her life in and out of the hospital because of her lungs. She likes to be in control, and she is waiting for a possible transplant. To protect her place on that list, she has to keep her distance from anyone who might pass along an infection.
Will Newman sees things differently. He is nearly eighteen, has no patience for his treatments or a new clinical drug trial, and wants to leave the hospital and see the world. When Stella and Will fall for each other, the rules that keep them safe also keep them apart, and getting close could cost them dearly. A bittersweet young adult love story about illness, risk and the ache of not being able to touch, it will suit readers who loved John Green's The Fault in Our Stars.
