What Fire and Ice is about
Fireheart began life as a house cat named Rusty, and now he is a ThunderClan warrior in a forest shared by four Clans of wild cats. In this second Warriors book, he and his friend Graystripe are sent to find WindClan, driven from its home by ShadowClan, and bring it back.
Trouble gathers on every side. Graystripe is saved from drowning by Silverstream, a RiverClan warrior, and the two fall in love, though the warrior code forbids it. They meet in secret, ignoring Fireheart's warnings. Meanwhile Fireheart, Graystripe and Ravenpaw know something dangerous about Tigerclaw, a fellow warrior, and they are afraid to tell anyone. Loyalty, friendship and betrayal run through a story that suits young fantasy readers who like animal adventures with high stakes.
