What Dog Days is about
It's summer vacation, and Greg Heffley already knows how he wants to spend it: indoors, with the shades drawn and a video game in his hands. He calls himself an indoor person, and his idea of a perfect season involves no responsibilities and no rules at all.
His mom has other plans. She pictures a summer full of outdoor activities and what she calls family togetherness, and the two visions are headed for a collision. Then a new addition to the Heffley family threatens to change everything. This is the fourth book in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, told in Greg's own voice, and it will suit readers who enjoy a funny, familiar look at family life and the art of avoiding effort.
