What We Solve Murders is about

Amy Wheeler works in private security, protecting people who can afford to pay for it. Then three of her firm's clients are murdered, and the trouble starts to point toward the work itself. When it becomes clear that her current client, the celebrity novelist Rosie D'Antonio, may be in danger too, Amy decides that staying put is no longer safe.

She takes Rosie and runs, and an unexpected third person joins them: Amy's father-in-law, Steve Wheeler. He is a retired police officer who treats the weekly pub quiz with real seriousness. Together the three set off across the world to work out who is behind the killings. Richard Osman, the author of the Thursday Murder Club books, opens a fresh series here, and the story leans as much on the pull between relatives and unlikely allies as it does on the puzzle. Fans of his earlier mysteries will feel at home, and so will anyone who likes a crime story with some company in it.
