What The American Roommate Experiment is about
Rosie Graham has quit her well-paid job to become a romance writer, though she has told no one in her family and now has terrible writer's block. Then the ceiling of her New York apartment crumbles. She turns to her best friend Lina's spare key, only to find Lina has already lent the place to her cousin Lucas.
Rosie has been following Lucas on Instagram for months, and in person he is Spanish, cooks, and has an irresistible accent. He offers her a place to stay and proposes a series of experimental dates to bring back her muse and help her meet her deadline. His time in New York runs out in six weeks.
