What Right Move is about
Ryan Shay has just become captain of Chicago's NBA team, the Devils, but his general manager doubts him, calling him an unapproachable lone wolf with no work-life balance. Ryan likes his space controlled and trusts few people. Then Indy Ivers, his sister's best friend, moves into his apartment. She is messy, emotional and hard to ignore. To prove to his boss that he is more approachable than he seems, Ryan proposes that the two pretend to date. Indy has her own reasons to agree, since a wedding is coming up. The trouble is that faking it feels far too natural, and Indy wants the kind of romance Ryan is sure he can't offer. Told in alternating voices, it is a good fit for fans of fake dating and forced proximity.
