What Queen of Shadows is about
Celaena Sardothien comes back to the empire with nothing left to lose. Those she cared about have been taken from her, and she has stopped hiding behind the name she once used. She is Aelin Galathynius, rightful queen of Terrasen, and she means to make the people who wronged her pay.
Before any crown can be hers, there is fighting to do. A cousin, a warrior willing to die for the chance to see her again, needs her. So does a friend held in a prison no one should have to endure. Meanwhile her people live as slaves under a cruel king, waiting for a queen they only half believe will return. This fourth volume in her story is about revenge, identity and loyalty, told at a large and intense scale.
