What Regretting You is about
Morgan became pregnant at seventeen and went on to marry Chris. Now, seventeen years later, they are raising their daughter Clara.
Then a traffic accident takes Chris and Morgan's sister Jenny, and the discovery of what may have been going on between them sends Morgan and Jonah, Jenny's boyfriend, reeling. Jonah, who was also Chris's best friend, is left caring for Jenny's baby son. Clara, meanwhile, grows close to a classmate named Miller, a fellow film lover, and Morgan disapproves of the relationship. Mother and daughter drift further apart as secrets pile up. It is a story about grief, mistakes made young, and how hard it can be to forgive the people closest to us.
