What Never Lie is about
Tricia and Ethan are newlyweds hunting for the house of their dreams, and a remote manor seems worth a look. It once belonged to Dr. Adrienne Hale, a respected psychiatrist who vanished without a trace four years ago. When a fierce winter storm shuts the couple in until the blizzard passes, the estate becomes less a prospect than a trap.
Searching for something to read, Tricia stumbles on a hidden room filled with recordings of every patient Dr. Hale ever interviewed. She plays the cassettes one at a time, deep into the night, and each one adds a piece to the story of what happened before the doctor disappeared. A tale of lies, secrets and isolation, it suits readers who like their mysteries told in a closed, creaking setting.
