What Don't Let Him in is about

Paddy Swann, a restaurateur, is killed when a disturbed man pushes him in front of a train. His wife Nina and their children, Ash and Arlo, are left struggling to cope. Months later a man called Nick Radcliffe gets in touch, saying he once worked with Paddy. By the first anniversary of the death, he and Nina are dating.

Nina is drawn to Nick, but Ash distrusts him from the start and notices gaps in his stories and his behaviour. With help from Jane Trevally, one of Paddy's former partners, Ash starts digging. Elsewhere, Martha Grey, a florist, lives with her husband Alistair and their children, though he often vanishes for days on supposed work trips.
