What Hollywood, Ending is about

Kai Laramie and Juniper Castillo are two young actors cast in a biopic called Andy Warhol Never Gets Old. Soon the movie is blowing up, and the fame that follows changes both of their lives in exciting but also terrifying ways. John Green treats that sudden change as something thrilling and frightening at once: the attention, the opportunity, and the sense that everything familiar is shifting underfoot.

The novel is Green's first since Turtles All the Way Down in 2017, and it follows his nonfiction book Everything Is Tuberculosis. Readers who enjoy stories about young people facing life-altering moments, and who like Green's warm, thoughtful voice, will find a good fit here. It debuted at number one on the New York Times Best Seller list.

This page uses public data: Open Library reader counts and ratings, and Wikipedia page views. The description is paraphrased from real source text (Open Library or Wikipedia). A book is on the Rising chart only if it was published in 2025 or 2026 and its readers are active and its interest is not falling. Rankings reflect reading interest, not quality or sales.
