What Operation Bounce House is about
Oliver Lewis lives on New Sonora with his sister Lulu. Their grandparents left Earth centuries ago to found a colony, and the colonists had to change medically to survive there. A disease once struck their children as they reached adulthood, but genetic modification spared later generations like Oliver and Lulu.
Oliver is mostly concerned with improving his farm and keeping his family's honeybees, agricultural robots, running. His grandfather disabled a kill switch that would have shut them down after about five years. The hive is led by Roger, a queen who also served as nanny and teacher to the Lewis children.
Then an Earthside company sends in mech units as a game, telling paying customers they are hunting terrorists when they are really killing unarmed civilians. The colonists must defend their home against a plan to wipe them out and claim the planet. It is a standalone science-fiction novel about corporate greed and survival.

How we know
This page uses public data: Open Library reader counts and ratings, and Wikipedia page views. The description is paraphrased from real source text (Open Library or Wikipedia). A book is on the Rising chart only if it was published in 2025 or 2026 and its readers are active and its interest is not falling. Rankings reflect reading interest, not quality or sales.
